Effective date: October 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Windroid (“Windroid,” “we,” or “the app”) handles information when you use the Windroid Android application.
Information handled on your device
Windroid is an emulator application. It stores app settings and emulator configuration on your device. If you use its file-management features, Windroid accesses files and folders that you choose to use with the emulator, such as disk images and game files. The app requests broad file access on Android to let you browse and manage emulator files. Those files may contain information you placed in them; Windroid does not upload them to Windroid servers.
Files and settings are kept in local app or device storage. You can remove them using Windroid’s file-management features or Android’s storage controls. Uninstalling Windroid removes app-private data; files saved in shared device storage may remain and must be removed separately.
Information collection and sharing
Windroid does not include analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services and does not collect or send personal information to Windroid-operated servers as part of its normal operation. No Windroid account is required.
Windroid can provide internet access to the emulated operating system. When you use network features inside the emulated system, that system may send and receive data over your device’s network connection to destinations selected or used by you or by software running in the emulator. Those destinations may receive network information such as your public IP address. This traffic is not sent to Windroid servers, and Windroid does not control the recipients’ privacy practices.
Android, Google Play, and device services may process technical information under their own privacy terms.
Security and retention
Windroid keeps its settings and emulator files on your device. Windroid does not operate a user-account service or a developer-side store of those files. Protect your device and any files you use with the app. Device backups may include app data according to your Android backup settings.
Children
Windroid does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to the developer, contact us through the website below so we can review the matter.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can manage Windroid’s access to shared files through Android settings, although file-related features may then stop working. For privacy questions or requests, contact us through windroid.hanus.cl. Because Windroid does not maintain user accounts or a developer-side store of user files, there generally is no server-side user data for us to retrieve or delete.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app’s data practices change. We will post the updated policy at the same public URL and revise the effective date above.
